La Manzana Cultural Center gives new life to what remained from the original Malambo orphanage in the historic neighborhood of Santa Ana. It is one of five buildings that make up La Quince, an ambitious urban development by Conservatorio S.A. The project was as much a renovation as it was incorporating new structures within the urban block. It is a commercial and cultural epicenter for Panama City at large, housing everything from local barbers and food vendors to a theatre, office spaces, studio apartments and a world class art gallery. It is currently the home of Panama’s International Film Festival and Fashion Week.
