Casa Balcones is one of five buildings that make up La Quince, and ambitious urban development by Conservatorio S.A.  It was built over three empty lots in the center of the historic neighborhood of Santa Ana.  The aim of the project is to revitalize an area that has been in a downward spiral of economic and population decline for several decades, as well as provide an opportunity of home ownership for the lower-middle class market as an alternative to the suburban bedroom communities which currently target that population.
