The Santarena Hotel is a 45-room boutique hotel. It is the architectural centerpiece of the town which frames its main plaza and provides it with major amenities such as restaurants, bar, rooftop pool, bakery, and event spaces. Our firm developed the architectural design starting from the original concept to finished contract documents, and coordinated all MEP and structural designs. The architectural design of the Santarena was inspired by the houses and palaces of the great coastal cities of Havana and Cartagena, places where life revolves invariably around courtyards and under arcades, with constant views of the sky and surrounded by lush tropical vegetation.
