The project required maximizing the use of a highly uneven lot that frames the oval shaped Plaza Lucia. The challenge was to give all 12 apartment units pleasant outdoor spaces and good views within the eccentric geometries of the lot. Our design accomplished these goals and at the same time gave most of the units direct entrances to the streets and the plaza around the building, allowing them to function as townhouses in some cases, rather than apartment units.
